No Instructions Gallery is a contemporary art gallery presenting focused exhibitions of painting, sculpture, and interdisciplinary practices. The gallery works with both emerging and established artists whose practices demonstrate strong material presence, intention, and a distinct point of view. Through its programming, No Instructions supports artists engaged in rigorous studio work and contributes to ongoing dialogues in contemporary art.
Since opening, No Instructions has built a consistent schedule of exhibitions and a growing network of artists. Building on this momentum, the gallery expanded to open a sister space, Addendum, in an adjacent gallery space. This expansion allows for a broader range of exhibitions and formats, with the two spaces operating both independently and in dialogue to present diverse voices from the Midwest and beyond. Co-directed by James Stepanek and Tanner MacArthur, Addendum launched its programming in January 2026, marking the next phase in the gallery’s continued commitment to ambitious, rigorous contemporary art and the long-term development of the artists it supports.
